Soccer, Spring Break, Sunny Days, Super Pitcher

We have had a great last couple of weeks. We spent the day at the beach with my Aunt and Uncle and had a fantastic time as seen in the pictures. Friends of ours came too with their children (those are the extra girls you see in the photos) It would of been easier if we had a picture of us all together but we didn't. I also had to show a picture of Mighty Mouth on the pitchers mound because who would of thunk, she is turning out to be quite the pitcher. There is a picture of me with my Aunt and of the Englishman with my Uncle. I am sure he is going to hate the picture but I will assure him not as much as I hate the one with my Aunt. She looks great I look like a giant next to her. Of course the kids can't take a bad picture even if they try. Last weekend Soccer Girl and I were in Palm Bay for her State Cup. Her team did so well they placed top in their bracket and go directly to the next round. Which means technically right now they are one of the top 10 teams in the state of Florida. She is very excited and getting ready for the next round which is the 18th of April. My in laws come in on Friday and we are all looking forward to that. We leave for a weeks vacation in Orlando on Sunday. Our weather has been gorgeous with a capital G. Warm sunny days with a breeze and cool nights. The only downfall is the pollen which is horrible right now but a small price to pay I guess for the beautiful days. I won't be posting for a little while because I know we will be busy but I am sure I will have a lot to share when we get back.........

hey batter, batter, SWING.....

Okay, so softball is going great. The younger girls absolutely love it. I laugh so hard when I am at a game because Miss Priss is very serious about the game and really concentrates but Mighty Mouth on the other hand is totally laid back. It is definitely social hour for her. (remind you of anything soccer) I think she could care less if she hits the ball, or catches it, or runs bases. As long as she can sit in that dug out and sing the "intimidation" songs to the other players. She knows them all and sings them at the top of her lungs. If they take a break from singing for a minute she is the first one to start it back up again. The funniest part is when she comes home afterwards and says "man Mom my throat hurts." (not her legs from running or her arms from swinging the bat) Miss Priss will come home talking strategy and how she can improve her game while Mighty Mouth is asking me how to spell S-I-N-G-L-E so she can do the "Single, Double, Triple chant. The best part of all is the girls know so many of the kids at the softball field just like they know so many kids at the soccer Fields and the neighborhood pool where they compete on the swim team in the summer. We live in a wonderful community where there are so many organized activities for children. This has allowed my girls to try so many different sports and make so many friends. They have learned team spirit and camaraderie. How to be humble winners and not to be sore losers. I am very blessed to be able to offer these activities to my girls and blessed most of all to be able to watch as they enjoy them. I have no doubt in my mind when they look back on their childhoods some of their best memories will be of the many team events that they participated in.......

Glasses, Grandaughters, and Good Times......

My girls got new eye glasses. Soccer Girl usually wears contacts so you don't see her in glasses much. Miss Priss only has slightly impaired vision so she doesn't wear hers much. However, it was time to buy them new ones. (Soccer girls were very old and the nose piece kept breaking and Miss Priss lost hers.) So as with anything new they are wearing them constantly right now. I just love them, I think they look so cute. I think it is adorable (as only a Mother would) that they wanted frames so very similar. I think they make both of the girls look older. Sometimes I get kind of sad that they are growing so fast. I love each new phase of raising them but wish everything would slow down just a little. I think of my Mom, her daughters are grown women with children of their own. Does she miss us not being in her home anymore. Now granted she has had a lot of years to get use to it.... but at first (because my sister and I moved out at almost the same time) did her house seem empty? Don't worry I am not going to go down that road when luckily I still have quite a few years until I get to the empty house stage but it makes you think. I also think about how awesome grand children are going to be. I laugh and think that because I had daughters I will probably end up with grandsons (not that I will care I will be thrilled with either). Although, my Mom didn't she got four beautiful grand daughters. (sorry you can't see the 4Th but my sister is concerned about Internet safety and is not ready for her daughter to make her Internet debut) I love this picture of the girls and my Mom taken at her 60Th. That brings me to the end of the post where I want to mention how blessed I am to have family, and lots of it. My family is very close and so is the Englishman's. And even though we may live faraway for much of the time when we all get together it is such a good time. I can't wait until the end of the month when the Englishman's family visits I know we will have many more good times and lots of pictures to share.
