Recap of the week....

Monday: Annual check up for Soccer Girl. She is healthy and almost as tall as me. She is 5'8 I am 5'8 1/2. When did that happen?

• Tuesday: Happy Birthday to my sweet sister and Mother of my beautiful niece!!!!

• Wednesday: Swim Meet the girls did great and had a good time. The Englishman actually made this Meet so I stayed home and had the house to myself for a couple of hours...





• Thursday: The younger girls had spent the night at their friends house so I had a very quiet day and caught up on laundry...





• Friday: Adventure Island again, we had a blast. Two of my friends came with their children, Soccer Girl brought a friend and the younger two brought a friend. Weather was awesome hot and sunny with no rain.





• Saturday: Packing up and heading to the beach for a week. Staying in a beach front condo and looking forward to cocktails on the balcony with the Englishman. Will have lots of pictures to share....

Soccer Girl comes home today.....

In a few hours I will drive to the airport to pick up SG. I can't wait, we have missed her so much. I know she had a fabulous time but I think (as a Mom would) that she is ready to come home too. It will be so nice to have everyone home for dinner tonight. We are having a great week. The Englishman took Monday off and the 4 of us went to Adventure Island together. It was a fantastic day. Of course because he was with us we were there early ( I am not much of a morning person) so we got to ride everything for the first couple of hours with minimal lines. (Mighty Mouth loved that she is our little daredevil) The girls have a swim meet Thursday night and Soccer Girl has her first practice with her more than likely new soccer team. Wait did I just say that? Weren't we the ones who said she wasn't going to play club ball anymore? Well, that lasted all about a month until some of her friends called her from her original club team from four years ago and said that their current team was looking for two players and would she be interested? This team does a lot less traveling (nothing out of state) and it is a lot less expensive than her old team so we are going to give it a try. So between that and the swim meet and two birthday parties this weekend we are going to be busy. I am also hoping to catch the new Harry Potter movie we'll have to see if we can fit all this in lol............................

Happy Birthday to me.......

Today is my Birthday and I must say I love Birthdays.... So you don't get the wrong idea, it's not the presents that make birthdays so great. ( although I am not going to lie those are fun too) But the best part about Birthdays is that you are reminded how much you are loved by your family and friends. I love how you get a phone call from a friend you don't get to talk to as much as you'd like so you get a 15 minute catch up. I love how all the little kids in your life and even the big kids call and sing to you in their sweet voices. (even the ones who have to call you back because they forget that's why they called you in the first place, yes Julie that would be you) I love how my daughters try so hard to please me and not to fight with each other. ( I especially love it when one of them forgets and the other one quickly whispers it to them "Shh stop fighting with me it's Mom's Birthday" I love how my husband whispered "Happy Birthday Hon" (which sounds like "un" because English people don't pronounce their H's) at 2:00 am so he could be the first to say it to me. I hope he will always be the first one to wish me a Happy Birthday. I most especially love my Birthday because it means that God has given me yet another year to spend with the wonderful people in my life and a chance to remember how very lucky and blessed I am. Yes, I really do love Birthdays so Happy Birthday to me.................

Happy Birthday Grandad John

Today is my Father in laws birthday. We hope you have a wonderful day Grandad John. We love this picture of you playing the guitar with the Becks Bissel (as you call it) at the timeshare last April. We can't wait until next year when we are all together in England for your 75Th and for your favorite Daughter in laws 40Th. (don't worry my FIL doesn't pick favorites I am his ONLY daughter in law so it has always been an inside joke between us) We LOVE you and MISS you and hope you enjoyed every second of your day!!!!!

Happy 4th of July

4th of July was kind of quiet this year. We had a picnic at my Mom's by the pool then we went out on the sailboat to watch the fireworks on the Bay. They were beautiful as always and the night was gorgeous. It wasn't humid or hot because we had a beautiful breeze on the water. Of course in the marina it was warm but once you got out onto the water it was perfect. We missed Soccer Girl because she was in NY with her best friend. She was celebrating the 4th in the Hampton's (doesn't that sound so rich and famous) and she is having a fantastic time. Today she was in Manhattan shopping and site seeing. Yesterday, I took the younger two to Adventure Island they are running a summer special where you pay $39.95 and you can come back unlimited weekdays until Sept 7th. My two friends also bought passes and their children are around the same age as the girls so we are looking forward to keeping the kids busy a couple days a week that way too. It's nice because they let you bring a cooler in and they have shaded picnic areas. So after your initial ticket purchase it makes for an inexpensive day of entertainment. Well, that's all that is new here hope everyone had a Happy 4th.......................

Mighty Mouth's best stroke is Fly and she struggles with Breast. Isn't that funny....Enjoying another fun week of summer even though it as been raining like crazy. The poor Englishman. When it rains day after day like this it is kind of a mixed blessing, it makes it cooler for him but in exchange he is dealing with being soaking wet.......
