Christmas is over........

Good Morning....Well we made it through and it was really nice. One little downfall poor Miss Priss got so sick. I took her to the Dr. on Wednesday morning because she had started running a fever on Tuesday and she tested positive for the flu. We have never had the flu in our household and I can tell you that I never want it again. Next year we will definitely be getting a flu shot something I have never done in years past. Luckily we managed to get through it with no one else getting sick. I was a germ freak for those 6 days. I washed my hands so much they were chapped and I went through one large can of Lysol in two days. She was so bad I thought I was going to have to take her to the emergency room but the Dr called in an antibiotic for her and within 24hrs of that she was making an up turn. It reminded me of just how lucky I am that I have such healthy kids. They very rarely ever get sick, and when they do it is usually just a stomach virus or the common cold. I can't imagine worrying like that all the time. It has been nice being off work this past week. I was able to do all the things I wanted with the girls. We went and saw "Bedtime Stories" yesterday and it is so cute. I highly recommend it. We are hosting a New Years Eve get together with some of our friends and their children this year. We like to have the kids with us and not be to far away from home on New Years Eve so we enjoy just doing small house parties. The girls have really been enjoying their Christmas presents especially Soccer Girl and her new lap top. I was a little concerned she might be disappointed that this would be her only gift (with a couple of very small things) because it was such a large ticket item. But I really don't think that bothered her at all she is so thrilled with it. We got Miss Priss an Ipod Nano she loves it and Mighty Mouth got an "American Girl" doll. I was a little hesitant on that because they are so expensive for a DOLL but she has really enjoyed it so I am glad that we did . So we are just going to enjoy the rest of our break and relax.....................

Merry Christmas..........

This picture has nothing to do with this post but I thought it was so cute how Dudley was laying on the Christmas stockings.....The perfect napping spot.

So I am officially on vacation and it feels GREAT did I mention that it is WONDERFUL it feels so GOOD to be off for TWO WHOLE WEEKS... In the Prince house things are moving right along. Just have a little more shopping to do and I will be ready to relax and enjoy the Holidays with my family. Christmas Cards are done, so now I just want to do a little Holiday baking with the girls and finish their Christmas present crafts (family gifts) and get those wrapped. I am so proud of myself this year I have really stayed on top of my wrapping. Of course I have Soccer Girl to thank for that she has helped me a lot in that department. As much as it saddens me sometimes that my girls are growing up so fast it also is wonderful because they can do so much for themselves and for me the older they get. They help out so much now and it makes things so much easier. On Friday (my last day with the little one's that I watch) they opened Christmas presents from each other and me. It was so awesome to watch them open their gifts. They are 3 and 1 and I forgot how much fun that age is at Christmas. My little guy (the 1 year old) didn't even care about opening the box he just wanted to play with it by scooting it across the floor. It reminded me that you just have to stop and enjoy every age because each one brings it's own wonderful aspects......Merry Christmas may you make wonderful memories with you family this year.............

Parade Pictures

Christmas is Coming

Wow this weekend flew by, I got lots done though it was great. My Christmas cards are officially DONE. In fact some you may have already gotten them. Sorry England friends and family yours are going out today. Yours require a trip to the post office so they are delayed a couple of days. I am actually sending out two different cards this year and here is the story. Normally every year I have big plans to get us all dressed up and ask my sister to come and take a nice Christmas family picture. Then before I know it it is a week before the big day and I still haven't gotten that picture taken. So then I quickly tell the girls to go throw on something Christmassy (is that a word?) and I snap a quick snapshot in front of the tree. Last year I even went to Target and bought them adorable little Christmas shirts in black. I thought they could wear them Christmas Eve too and look really festive. Well guess what, the two older girls hated them so I said "oh well put them on for the picture and I will take them back" which is what I did. It makes me laugh when I look at that picture because it reminds of the story of buying the expensive dress for a party, hiding the tags and then taking it back. (No, I have never done that) There was a time when I would use a picture of the five of us from some vacation we had taken that year that was always easy. Then one year I couldn't find one so that's when I started with the posing by the tree for the Christmas picture. This year I decided I would see what I had because I really thought it would be nice for the Englishman and I to be in the picture for a change. The pictures chosen are recent but they were not taken for the Christmas card purpose. Mighty Mouth and Miss Priss are in Santa's sled from "Christmas in the Park" and Soccer Girl, Englishman and I are from her Homecoming pictures. Of course I had to hear about how the lighting makes her nose look big from Soccer Girl. The second batch of pictures I did (because can you believe I ran out of cards I started with 50 and had to order 30 more) I had the photo printed in the Sepia so the light glowing on her nose wouldn't show. That is how I ended up with two different cards. I had to accomodate Soccer Girls insecurities about her nose (which by the way is not big as far as I am concerned but SHE thinks it is GINORMOUS) She liked the Sepia picture much better. I can only imagine what a pain Christmas cards are going to be when the two younger ones care what they look like in it.

We went to the parade Saturday night it was fun. I have quite a few pictures. I will upload them and see if Blogher will let me load them to share. I will say goodbye for now as it seems this post is getting longer and longer. Yes, I know I am long winded.......Sorry.

December is flying by......

This month is going by so quickly and I haven't finished a thing. No Christmas cards posted yet. No Holiday baking. No homemade gifts from the girls started yet. (although they ask me every night if we can get started but I am just so pooped) (pooped looks funny in print eh...) We have already done our Holiday traditional Hay Ride at the annual "Christmas in the Park" which I am so disappointed I got a great picture of the younger girls with Santa and I cannot upload it because Blogger won't let me. It is such a great picture that if Soccer Girl would of been with us (I just can't get used to this growing up and having your own social life thing) I would be using it for our Christmas card this year and that would of been one thing off my list to do. See it is all Soccer Girl's fault. This weekend we have our annual "town" parade which we make fun of every year but still absolutely HAVE to go to. After this week just one more week of school, the kids get out December 19th which means I am off work too. I am really looking forward to that. I have all these plans of things I want to do with the girls hopefully I can at least do a few. (Did I mention over Thanksgiving break I was going to paint the kitchen cabinets. Yeah, like that got done NOT.) So that is not even on the list. Maybe this summer. LOL I will try to find some photos that will post over the next few weeks and hopefully you will all be getting my Christmas card if I can manage to get that done......Happy Holidays!!!!!!

Curiosity killed the Cat

Look what we found in our dryer the other morning. Cats remind me of Toddlers they don't know what is dangerous. I am happy to report that "Tuesday" is just fine and will hopefully find another napping spot.........

The logic of Mighty Mouth

So the Englishman and I are watching an episode of the biggest loser last night and one of the contestants husbands is being interviewed. He is being asked what he misses most about his wife not being home. He goes on to say how he misses her smile, and her cuddles, and just being with her everyday. I say to the Englishman "so honey what would you say?" "That you miss me cooking dinner, doing the laundry, playing taxicab to our three children." He starts laughing and says "yes, that's it". Mighty Mouth looks at both of us appalled and says "Mom, he wouldn't say that IF HE WAS ON TV"....
And here I thought The Biggest Loser was a REALITY show.....

First Broken Heart

Soccer Girl and her boyfriend broke up yesterday. She was so sad. She had actually been unhappy for awhile now. He would unintentionally hurt her feelings. He was famous for making plans and breaking them. Ending their text conversations (yes, all the kids text now they don't talk how incredibly frustrating that would be for me) without a goodbye or a gotta run in "mid text". Going all week long without so much as a "Hi, how is it going". She would get her feelings hurt so often and be upset so much that I actually encouraged her on several occasions to move on. I just kept thinking like a "Mom". "What is wrong with him, doesn't he see that she is the most beautiful, sweet, and smart girl in the world" Ha Ha Now don't get me wrong, I think he is a great kid. He just didn't realize how much he hurt her and when she tried to explain it, bless his heart he was clueless. So now I must deal with my broken hearted girl. I want her to believe me when I say there will be lots of boyfriends. I want her to believe me when I say there will come a time when she will almost forget his name. "Mom, do remember what that boy's name was that I went to homecoming with sophomore year in highschool ?" I want her to know that every boy she dates is a learning experience to figure out what qualities she is looking for in that one great love. Most of all I want her to know that this is just a part of growing up. Of learning how to pick yourself up and rely on yourself for your happiness. So I will try to be there for her without sticking my nose in to much. (hard for me, very hard) and I will also take this as my learning experience because I have two more beautiful, sweet, and smart daughters coming up right behind her........

Still Here Just Swamped

Hi, I just wanted to let you know we are alive and well in Princeville. I haven't posted in over a week just because we have been so busy. I have to say though I was thrilled when my Aunt emailed me and wanted to know if everything was OK because I hadn't blogged in awhile. I thought to myself "whoa, so someone is actually reading even when NO ONE COMMENTS (hint, hint) it made me feel so good. I love an audience....Ha Ha.... The girls and I and Englishman are all well. High school soccer is in full swing right now so I am juggling making the games plus getting coverage for Mighty Mouth and her practices. Of course Soccer Girl's games and Mighty Mouth's practice times are ALWAYS on the same nights. Good thing we have Grandma's and Aunts around. Since the Englishman started wearing "Browns" we have had to adjust to him not being around in the evenings till later. Getting geared up for Thanksgiving. Soccer Girl and I will be leaving for a tournament in Plantation on Friday morning. (Aunt Rona, how far away is Plantation from you? I never even thought about it being close if you would like to catch one of the soccer games, let me know) They are the defending champions and while I want them to do well it would be nice to be able to leave Saturday after their last game and not have to hang around until the final on Sunday. (I hope Soccer Girl doesn't read this or she will be upset with me for saying that) I am looking forward to Thanksgiving week because I will be off that week with the girls...(I love my job, I love my job) I really want to see that movie "TWILIGHT" while we are off since I was ridiculously addicted to the books even though they are supposed to be "teen romance" I guess I am still a teenager at heart. I had to laugh when my friend's daughter asked "Soccer Girl" if she had read them and I piped up "she hasn't but I have and they are so good" We then discussed which characters we liked and how hot the actor is who is playing the male lead. (Yes, he is all of 20 and I am discussing said "hottie's" cuteness with a 12 year old.... but hey does it matter? ) Ha Ha I hope to post some pictures soon I don't even know what is on my memory card right now but hopefully something "post worthy" . Have a great week...............

Halloween Pictures

Here are some pictures of the girls on Halloween. What do you think of that Bumble Bee costume? Probably exactly what I was thinking. (Are you nuts???) I agree it was a (lot) little grown up but she was so excited about it and totally loved it (a little to much) and so I had to let her wear it. Crazy as it sounds I think it was the socks that made it look to sexy. Is that nuts? But really it just made the skirt part look that much shorter, do you agree? Oh I miss the days of Fairy Princesses and Ballerinas. Shoot, I even miss the one year she wanted to go as "Scream" and wore a long black cloak and a Scream mask. I thought she was crazy then and wished she wanted to be something more feminine (I thought the scream thing was more for little boys) Oh be careful what you wish for.... I sure would of loved to have put that "Scream" costume on her this year. This year was also the first year that Soccer Girl did not Trick or Treat. She had Districts for swim team all day on Halloween and was not home. To be honest though, even if she would of been home I do not think she would of Trick or Treated. So this is the first year she is not in the Halloween pictures. On the bright side this year was my little niece Hannah's first Halloween so that was a lot of fun. Back to trick or treating with one in a stroller. So I guess that's how it kind of goes. In the blink of an eye the older one's grow up and the new little one's take their place. I need to remind my sister to be careful not to blink........

Witnessing History

Okay, I am so excited. Obama is President Elect. I hope I don't offend anyone but I have to celebrate. This is my song of the day. I have always been a Tracy Chapman fan but one of the blogs I read had this song posted in a video clip from you tube. I thought the song was perfect. Of course, I have no idea how to put a "you tube" window in this blog so I just have a link if you would like to listen and celebrate with me. Enjoy.....

Beautiful cool day.....

A taste of fall we finally got today. It was gorgeous, sunny and cool. I got to wear a sweatshirt yes you heard me A SWEATSHIRT... At Mighty Mouth's soccer practice tonight I even walked for an hour and sprinted a couple of times in that hour. Yes, I do believe that counts as EXERCISE!!!! I haven't been sleeping real well for the last few days so I am hoping that the fresh air and exercise will help me sleep good tonight. It is so much easier for me to exercise when it is cool. (Not that I still don't have a million excuses when it's cooler too) I absolutely hate to sweat it is just gross to me. ( I know, I really have to get over that) We are suppose to have this cool weather through the weekend. I am so looking forward to a cool Halloween. It just puts you more in the fall spirit when it is cool on Halloween. I can't tell you how many times I have sweat my booty off and gotten eaten alive by mosquitoes on Halloween. So my plans for the next few days are to be outside as much as possible. Happy Halloween!!!!!

A tough day tomorrow......

A friend of mine lost her son last weekend. He was 20. He died in a motorcycle accident. As with so many of my friends I met her and her husband through my daughter. (Soccer Girl) Their youngest daughter played soccer with SG for many years and now they go to high school together. I have watched this little girl grow up and my heart breaks for what will surely be one of the toughest times in her young life. I took some food over on Monday and when my friend opened the door and I looked into her eyes the pain I saw there took my breath away. She is a very petite woman and we all know I am not and when I embraced her I felt like a giant as we cried together. It seemed as if this devastating tragedy had shrunk her somehow physically as well as emotionally. Unfortunatly, I had never actually met her son. I am sure he was in the background on many occasions hanging out with the kids. Of course his name had been mentioned many times in conversations with my daughter and her friend or his Mom and Dad through the years. So as I was preparing the food on Monday I was thinking how sad it was that I had never talked to him. I remembered thinking how awful it was that if I would of passed him on the street I probably wouldn't even have realized he was my friend's son. That was until this afternoon. I was looking up his obituary to get the time of the funeral tomorrow. There looking at me was a picture of him. I realized then that I would of known him. His eyes would of told me. His eyes were his mother's and his sisters. Big, beautiful, expressive eyes that are the first thing you notice when you look at them. I know that everytime I look in the eyes of his mother or his sisters I will think of him. I will think of how sorry I am that I never made a point to introduce myself to him. I will think of how I won't let that happen again. I will make a point to get to know all of my friends children. One of the things that my friend said to me that has stuck in my mind. The thing she said that was bringing her some peace was the knowledge that her son knew how much she and her husband and family adored him. He knew how much he was loved. Please make it a point to let your children know how much you love them ALL the time. I know I will.................

I told you so......

Yesterday afternoon I went out to the mailbox to get the mail and was completely shocked when I opened our water bill. Our bill usually runs about $115.oo, the bill this month is $233.00. My first thought was that it was a miss read by the meter reader. I immediately called the water company and read the numbers to the customer service rep. She informed me that no, according to her records we had used another significant amount of water since the 16th and we definitely had a leak. Don't you hate that? You start to get this sinking feeling in your stomach or I did anyway. I started thinking about if we couldn't find it and we had this huge leak under the house. Dollar signs start popping in my head as I envision our foundation having to be torn up. (yeah, when my imagination goes, it really goes). Then I remembered the last time we had a leak, it was along our fence line (about two years ago). Apparently, the piping bringing water into our house runs along the same line as our fence. What happened last time is that when we would have strong winds (famous in Florida with our storms every evening in the summer) the post would wiggle a little and shift the dirt which then loosens the joints of the pipes underneath until they come loose or break off completely. I then thought back to a Sunday afternoon about a month ago when I noticed one of our posts leaning a bit. I said to my beloved Englishman "that post is leaning again, you don't think we have another leak under there do you?" To which he replied "no it is fine that post is just old" I then added "well maybe you should check it, just in case" To which he replied "Suzie it's fine". "Okay, whatever you say". So yesterday afternoon my first place to look for a leak was that post. I looked down and low and behold there was a puddle of water at the base of the post. I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!! I love it when I am right but man am I sorry it cost us $115 dollars this time. Of course it may be more, I just can't wait to get the bill next month NOT ................

Having a nice weekend...

This probably going to be kind of a boring post. Not a whole lot of interesting is happening around here this weekend. We had a long weekend because the kids were out of school on Friday. That was kind of nice. I still had my toddler and preschoolers that I watch. Well sort of I was down one preschooler because he went away with his family for a long weekend but I picked up an extra older brother. On Friday I, along with 7 kids ( I also picked up an extra teenager) headed to the beach. It was a gorgeous day. Sunny but not stifling, the water even had a little "chill" to it when you first got in. When you have spent the whole summer swimming in bath water everytime you went to the beach you appreciate "refreshing water". It was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all. We got up this morning and went to Soccer Girls soccer game and they won 2-1 so that is always nice. I came home and took a nap (yes I said NAP it was AWESOME) Soccer Girl had boyfriend's Homecoming tonight so we were invited to the parents of one of boyfriend's friends for snacks and picture taking. I wasn't really sure about that one because I knew we wouldn't know anyone except boyfriend's family, but it ended up being a lot of fun. Englishman and I felt very welcomed and really had a nice time. Tomorrow we have decided to go back to the beach since it was so nice on Friday. This time I am really looking forward to it because I won't have to be constantly doing head counts LOL....Other than that just a nice relaxing weekend. I hope you are having one too.

We survived the stomach bug...

Wow, I feel good. You don't know how good you feel until you have recently felt bad. Did that make sense? Our family just had a bout with a stomach bug. We all got it, we were even generous and shared with our friends. Soccer Girl and Miss Priss got it Saturday night and Sunday. The Englishman, Mighty Mouth and I got it Monday night and Tuesday. It totally sucked. I have new respect for The Englishman he actually went to work yesterday in the heat. I don't know how he did it. I called him around 11:00 from bed (which I did not get up out of until 6pm last evening) to see if he was feeling better. He said absolutely not. I said "Honey you the man I don't know how you are doing it" He responded "yeah I'm the man alright the DUMBEST man on the planet for trying to work today" He came home last night jumped into the shower and went straight to bed. I didn't hear a peep out of him until 6:00 this morning. I am happy to report he is better today too. One funny thing from the experience. Monday night into Tuesday morning every time Mighty Mouth had "conversations with the porcelain God" (I am trying to put that in a nice way) she would come and tell us that she did. I thought it was cute that she had to tell us. I don't know if she wanted reassurance that she would be OK or if she just wanted to prove that she was really sick for fear I would make her go to school the next day. But every hour she would come into our room to give us the report. To which I would say, "you made it in the toilet right?" Every time she would reply "yes Mommy I did" (Thank God) Well, I guess I will end this post now in case I really grossed you out.......

Yes, she said that

This morning Miss Priss was the only one still home. Her school starts the latest. I was trying (as always) to keep the house picked up. (losing battle I know) There was a hair brush on the floor. I asked her to please pick it up and put in in the bathroom. She says "but I didn't use that brush." (Yes, she said that) So for the millionth time I explain to her that it does not matter who used it last. I was asking her to pick it up. I went on to add as I do almost every time I have this conversation with my daughters that I pick up tons of things that I did not use. We are a family and we all help out. Her reply "I think Mighty Mouth was the last to use this so technically I am picking up her mess, that is not fair" (Yes, she said that) Frustrated at this point I tell her to stop being petty and just put it away. "Well", she says "she needs to pick up something after me now." (Yes, she said that) I cannot wait until they have children and they call me and say "you will not believe what my daughter said to me today" to which I will reply "try me".....

Admitting it is the first step..

Hello, my name is Suzie and I am a TV addict. I didn't really realize it until the other night. I was at a party for my friend's birthday and was chatting with some neighbors. We got on the subject of TV. We started talking about shows we enjoy. I started talking about all the shows that I watch or more appropriately DVR. My friend's husband looked at me and said "do you have a life"? He meant it in a very joking manner and I was not insulted in any way. I have to admit though it got me thinking. I thought about all the things that I fit into my day, and yet I still manage to keep up on these shows as well. My mind quickly went somewhere I didn't want it to. The little voice saying to me "well if you have enough time for all this TV watching then certainly you could fit in some exercise right?" In my defense, it is really my beloved DVR that makes it all possible. With the assistance of the DVR I can watch my TV shows whenever I want plus I get to skip all the commercials. But I'm rambling this post is supposed to be about my addiction not the time that my addiction steals from my life. So without further ado I would like to share with you my list of favorite shows that I watch EVERY week. "Army Wives" "The Amazing Race" "Terminator, the Sarah Connor chronicles" "Fringe" "The Biggest Loser" "Jon and Kate plus Eight" "Little People Big World" "17 children and counting" "Adoption Stories" "Lipstick Jungle" "Survivor" "Desperate Housewives" "Brothers and Sisters" and some that will premier after the holiday's "Lost" and "Friday Night Lights". To be honest there are probably more but that is all I can think of at this time. This does not even mention my book addiction. I am also an avid reader and am currently immersed in the "Twilight" series. No, these books are not just for young adults I am really enjoying them. Oh and I must mention one more author that I was introduced to from another blog "Jen Lancaster" her first memoir in her 4 book series is called "Bitter is the New Black. If you are a reader and could use a good laugh and let's face it who couldn't right now in our economic state check her out. I have never laughed so hard reading a book. Anyway, confession over am I a TV addict? You be the judge..........

The Englishman Returns

The Englishman came home last night. His plane landed at 12:20 A.M. Yes, I said AM what was he thinking when he booked that flight? Earlier in the evening the girls and I had our last hurrah. We went to see the new Beverly Hills Chihuahua Movie (cute, corny but cute) and then went to dinner at our favorite little family restaurant "Parkside Cafe". We came home and I caught up on a couple shows I had DVR'd. (I am so glad the fall lineup started.) I was very excited about the Englishman coming home. Even though he was coming in so late I wanted to look my best. I did my hair and makeup put on my favorite jeans that fit even better since I have lost 11 pounds in my latest attempt at "eating healthy". The word "diet" just puts me in a bad mood. I wore a dressy shirt that I usually only wear to go out somewhere. In my mind, I had envisioned this great reunion at the airport like it used to be in the old days when he lived in England and I lived here. Then the impossible happened THE AIRPORT EXIT WAS CLOSED. I was instructed by very confusing signs to take a different exit. An exit, I might add I was completely unfamiliar with. I immediately pulled out the cell phone and called my own personal GPS system "aka" The Englishman and in a panic asked him where to go. The Englishman is a UPS driver and before that delivered bottled water so he knows our area like the back of his hand. He instructed me to make the first left after I exited. Well guess what, that was closed too. In the meantime, I keep losing him because he is in baggage claim where he cannot keep a signal. Not to mention there is all this traffic, why are these people not in bed? Why do all these cars have to drive 80 when the speed limit is 65? Where in the hell is the sign for this street so I can tell Englishman what road I am on? Why did I drive the truck (which is the size of small airplane) when I am so much more comfortable in the van? Oh, so there's where the The Dollhouse is (a strip club that is famous in our area). I always wondered where that was. Oh my gosh, FINALLY an airport exit sign. FINALLY, after 20 very stressful minutes which seems like hours. One incredibly frustrated, irritable wife makes it to the airport to pick up her stupid husband who picks a ridiculous hour to fly home. Needless to say, at this point I have lost all my excitement all I want to do is move to the passenger side so he can drive us home. Which he did, effortlessly I might add. After we got home I did give him a big hug and a kiss. He did tell me I looked really nice and slowly but surely the reunion that I had pictured in my head did happen, it just had a really rough start......

Dudley the Hunter

At 5:00 am this morning I awoke to crying coming from Miss Priss's room. I went into her room and discovered that Dudley our cat had somehow managed to open up the Hamster cage. The hamsters not realizing the danger escaped. (I can never say that word or write it without my mind instantly going to Finding Nemo and Ellen Degeneres' voice saying "ES COP AY") Let me stop here with the story and explain why the Hamsters do not realize that cat's are dangerous. The Hamsters love the Dudley. Whenever he is at their cage staring longlingly through the plastic haze they come out to say Hello. Not only do they say Hello but they climb up the bars and stick their paws out in an attempt to shake Dudley's hand. No seriously I think what they are doing is teasing him. "Ha Ha big cat you can't get us" as he paces the length of the cage back and forth trying to figure out how to get to them. Well, this morning he figured out that if he batted at one of the tunnels long enough it would come loose from the cage thus allowing the Hamsters to make their getaway. How they ever managed to get out without Dudley quickly eating them for breakfast is still beyond me. This commotion quickly woke Miss Priss and she found Jerry right away. The Hamster's names are Ben and Jerry. Ben on the other hand proved to be more of an explorer. I was really hoping we were not to late. As we continued to search without any luck Soccer girl had a great idea. "Why don't we use Dudley to find Ben" she said. While I knew this was risky I also knew it would probably work. So we allowed Dudley into the room. (He was right outside the door pounding furiously with his paw) I kid you not it took only 45 seconds and he found Ben under the TV stand. Luckily, Dudley coudn't fit under the TV stand or we might of had a totally different ending. Miss Priss quickly caught Ben and returned him to his cage. We reinforced the area the loosened tunnel. I am happy to report that Ben and Jerry are safe for now..........

Dinnertime Conversations

Since the Englishman is still on Holiday we had another "girl's only" dinner tonight. Lots of times our dinners are very rushed. Scarfed down between pratices or one or two of us missing from the table. But the last two nights the four of us have sat down together. Tonight was fun because I was just listening to my girls talk to each other. Normally, I find that they are competing for the floor and mine or Englishman's attention. Excited to share stories from their day with us. Tonight was different. Mighty Mouth was asking Miss Priss about middle school and how it was different from her school and about changing classes and things. Miss Priss loved telling her sister about her new school. (Miss Priss loves middle school, I think the whole changing classes and seven different teachers makes her feel very grown up) I was so proud of Soccer girl too because instead of throwing her two cents in and talking about her long lost middle school days she just let her sister talk. I felt like I had a little peek into the future of how my girls might be when they are older and have busy lives and catch up over lunch. Of course, I really hope when they are older and having lunch at a nice restuarant Miss Priss does not have a huge wad of gum stuck on her hand saving it for after she's done...(Yes, she really did that tonight ) I know , I know. GROSS......

Homecoming

Soccergirl's Homecoming was a lot of fun. For her and the younger girl's and I. Her boyfriend's Mom invited us over to take pictures and have "munchies".
Miss Priss and Mighty Mouth adore Boyfriend's sister. So they were thrilled to be hanging out with her for the evening. The pictures turned out beautiful.(Boyfriend's parents have a beautiful yard and pool area) I think the kids look great. I have to say though the one thing that stands out in these pictures to me is their smiles. I think they both have gorgeous smiles. It makes me so glad we spent a fortune on those braces!!!!

Englishman on Holiday

Well, the Englishman left for his vacation this afternoon. He is off to play golf, shoot paint balls, and enjoy cool weather. I could care less about Golf and Paint ball but man I am jealous over that cooler weather. As he was packing Jeans and sweatshirts I looked down at my tank top and shorts and cried. Speaking of packing, oh my gosh you would think this man was going to be gone for a year. Not just one short week. Not to mention the fact that my Aunt and Uncle do have a washing machine in their gorgeous new home that I am so envious that he is seeing before me. He actually had to remove a few things before he left because he was over the fifty pound limit. Can someone say"metrosexual". I was teasing him and said we were going to call him "Nanny". Nanny is my Mom who takes a minimum of five bags when she vacations with us. In her defense she is usually packing extra things for the girls that she has picked up. In Englishman's suitcase it was all for HIM. Have fun Englishman we will miss you. Not that the girls will have much time for that. Once again we have a very busy weekend. The big thing being Soccergirls first Homecoming. I will post pictures and details on Sunday after I sleep till noon. Yippee!!!!!

MIghty Mouth's first Soccer Practice

My Mom sent me some photos of Mighty Mouth's first soccer practice.
I love the pink socks. What a fashion statement. We had gorgeous weather this morning it was like 69 with a breeze. Of course the high is still 86 but who cares at least you can walk to your car and not be drenched with sweat from the humidity. Come on fall I've been waiting for you since July.......

Activities Night Champions

Here is Soccer Girl with some of her team from Activities night. They were so proud of that trophy.....Okay, I confess in case you haven't figured it out I just figured out how to add photos....I promise this many posts in one day will not be the norm....

Happy Birthday Carla

My niece celebrated her Birthday yesterday and I didn't call to wish her a Happy Birthday. Sorry Carla please know that I thought about you all day and just never took a minute to call. Shame on me. (I will blame it on the 5 hour time difference thank you very much..lol) I hope you had a wonderful day. I love this picture of you and Miss Priss. We miss you and can't wait for your next visit.

Actvities Night Champions

Activities night was a lot of fun. Miss Priss and I went because Mighty Mouth had her first soccer practice (more on that in a bit). Anyway, Soccer Girl's team came in first yes you heard me FIRST out of like 20 something teams. They were so surprised (as was I) especially because the team was comprised of all Sophomores and one Junior. It was really cute and it brought back a lot of memories of my high school days. The one thing that really bothered me though were the foul mouths on these teenagers. I was completly blown away at their language. Now don't get me wrong I am sure down on the field where the Teachers and Sponsers were they were on their best behavior but up in the stands where the kids outnumbered the adults it was insane. I am not talking about the occasional "shit" or "damn" which I am not so sensitive to. (probably beccause I have a tendency to use those words myself on occasion) But "F" and "MF" peppered every sentence. In fact, I think those two words WERE the sentences the majority of the time. It made no difference that I was sitting there or that my eleven year old daughter was sitting there. You would think they would at least try not to use that language when there was no doubt I would hear it. Of course my mind went to "I bet your parents would be mortified to hear you right now" (You know your a Mom when.....) So after much congratulations and pictures I had the to remind my daughter again that "if I ever catch you talking like that or hear that you were using that type of language from another parent you will not leave the house until you are 25" followed by "never ever forget just how many people know me around here" Of course, I really in my heart of hearts don't think that I have anything to worry about but then again I bet those kids parents think the same thing.....

Mighty Mouth had a great first soccer practice from what my Mom said. She said the coach was really nice and so were the other little girls on the team. I had to laugh though because as soon as she got home all I heard about was how her cleats were killing her toes. Now mind you on Sunday I told her to find all of her soccer gear cleats, shin guards, socks and make sure that the cleats fit ok. She tried it all on and told me they felt fine. Funny how your feet can grow in 2 days.

Well, I lost my first post

Okay that really sucked. I wrote out this whole post and then lost it. I have read of this happening to other bloggers but darn it was my first official post. So anyway, I will recap. First I decided I cannot call my husband "Prince Daddy" it makes him sound like a rapper or a pimp. So I will call him "The Englishman" he's called that a lot anyway being from England. I noticed a lot of Bloggers change the names of their spouses and children I am assuming for safety on the internet. Not a bad idea so for the purpose of this Blog daughter number one will be known as "Soccer Girl" daughter number two "Miss Priss" and daughter number three "Mighty Mouth" all of you who know her know a more perfect nickname could not be found. If you read the blog please leave a comment so I know who's reading. Gotta Run Soccer Girl has activities night for Homecoming week tonight and Mighty Mouth has her first soccer practice of the season. Back to the Van I go.........

I have officially emailed everyone

Trying Out the Blog thing.....

I have spent enough time reading them I thought I might like to give this a shot. Especially, for Prince Daddy's family living overseas. I think they will really enjoy keeping up with the Prince Girls on this blog. Let's see if this works.....
