Alex's Lemonade Stand

Remember when I told you about Alex one of my little guys who is now seven and a golf prodigy.  Well he recently qualified for a big golf tournament that will be taking place in North Carolina next month.  Of course, golfing is an expensive sport so Alex decided to have a lemonade stand to raise money for this event.  Naturally, Dave and I were craving a cold glass of lemonade that morning and just had to stop by.

Working hard pouring that lemonade.

Displaying just some of his trophy's and awards.

That's a future famous smile.

They even had a little putting green set up.  Of course,  Dave had to give it a go.

Good Luck Alex we love you and we know you will do great!!!

Winter in July

We went to an ice skating B-Day party on Saturday.  It was for one of my little guys who is in school now.
Natalie and McKenlee were excited about ice skating Dave and I were excited about watching. LOL
It was really cool because after the party they take the ice/snow that is cleaned off the rink by the Zamboni and dump it in a big pile out back for the kids to play with and have snow ball fights with.  For Florida kids who never see or play in snow this is a huge deal.  My girls were the oldest one's there so they enjoyed helping the little one's on the ice.  Don't let them fool you they were just as excited as the little kids when it came to playing in the snow.  Even the BIG kid who shall remained un named couldn't make those snow balls fast enough to throw at his daughters.  It was a lot of fun watching those kids play in the snow.

Warming their hands we forgot gloves.

McKenlee with another of my little one's who is in school now.

Favorite picture, McKenlee getting ready to launch one at her Dad.

The BIG kid making his snow ball.

The kids were in heaven climbing on and playing with the snow.

"Rip it, Roll it, and Punch it"

Remember when I talked about Sydnee's great job and all the cool things she gets to experience.  Due to tropical storm Debby unfortunately many of the sea turtle nests and eggs didn't survive.  As they checked one of the nests this little critter was the only one who survived.  He will be released this evening and I am sure you are with me when I say best of luck little guy.  Have fun in that "big ol blue."

Monday, Monday, Monday

Whew, what a weekend we had, three softball games, one birthday party, and one wedding.  Isn't it always an all or nothing thing.  Weekends are either jammed packed or you have nothing going on. (oh yes, I do love those boring weekends)   It was fun though, I fell a little more in love with my hubby this weekend for two reasons.

1. We babysat over night the little one year old that I watch.  She slept in a port a crib at the foot of our bed.  Early Saturday morning we could hear her sweet cooing sleeping sounds and my  husband looked over at me and said "Man I love those noises, I forgot how sweet they are."  "Makes me miss the days when ours were babies"   Oh yes, that man is a softie and I love it!!

2, He is also very sentimental when we attend weddings and as we danced our one customary slow dance that he always treats me to at a wedding (he hates to dance but always gives in for one slow dance) he looked in my eyes smiled at me and said "our life is really good."   Yup, I think I am going to keep him.

McKenlee's All-Star season is officially over so we have a short break from softball until October so she can concentrate 100% on swimming.  Makes for less driving for me too.  Yay!!  They won one of three games this weekend and managed to place second in the division so we were happy.  She had a great weekend too she played some of the best softball (remember swimming is her sport lol) she has ever played and we were very proud of her.

Roll on next weekend where we have yet another Birthday party and are one week closer to vacation!  Yay!

Shout out to my best friend Tricia and her daughter Marissa,  Happy Birthday we love you!!! (Isn't that so cool her daughter was born on her birthday.)

Also, Happy 57th Wedding Anniversary to my wonderful in laws (can you imagine lol ) we love and miss you and hope to see you soon.  (hint, hint)

Also, please visit my dear sweet friend at Mama's Mumbo Jumbo.  I know you will love her blog as much as I do.

Fourth of July....

Today we had a picnic at my Mom's for the 4th of July. It was a really nice day with only one short lived shower. We all decided the only thing that could of made it better was if we would of had tomorrow off.
Enjoying the pool.

McKenlee smiling for me

I attempted my Uncle Butch's famous fruit salad.
While it tasted awesome it wasn't quite as pretty as his to look at.

Sistas

One of my favorites.  My niece is IN LOVE with my Mom's kitten Tucker.
This is him after Hannah chased loved him all day.

Where's the Beach???

Last week after the rained stopped the girls and I wanted to to see how the beaches fared after tropical storm Debby. So we took a little drive to check it out. Well, the beach was gone. (temporarily)The water had come up almost to the parking lot, it was something to see. The surf was crazy high (for us anyway we live on the gulf side so we don't see much surf action) and the wind was whipping away as evidenced by cousin Ashley's hair (we were calling her cousin IT in these pictures lol). After our little sight seeing venture we headed to McDonald's for some nuggets, fries and ice cream by the water. Made me anxious for the end of this month when we spend a week out at the beach hopefully sans tropical storms. :)
There were actually people to the right of the girl's body surfing.  For me that is just asking for trouble.

The girls are standing where there is usually sand and sunbather's

The wind damaged the dock behind us too.
